Aitna Room
Our room names refer to the etymology of the name Etna, which has always been debated among the civilizations that have succeeded one another over the centuries.
The Greeks called it Aitna (hence the name of the first room), which derives from the verb "àithō," meaning "to burn."
Mulciber Room
Our room names refer to the etymology of the name Etna, which has always been debated among the civilizations that have succeeded one another over the centuries.
The Romans, to signify its majesty, called it Mulciber (qui ignem mulcet), meaning "he who soothes the fire," which is the name of our third room. This latter term is still in common use today, although the local population also refers to Etna simply by the epithet "a muntagna" (the mountain).
Jabal Room
Our room names refer to the etymology of the name Etna, which has always been debated among the civilizations that have succeeded one another over the centuries.
The Arabs referred to the volcano as Jabal al-burkān ("mountain of the volcano") or Jabal Aṭma Ṣiqilliya ("highest mountain of Sicily") or Jabal an-Nār ("mountain of fire"). This is why "Jabal" became the name of our second room.

Our location
An unforgettable stay with a breathtaking view of Mount Etna and perfect hospitality. Everything was exactly as shown in the photos: new, well-maintained, and clean. We stayed in two double rooms, which were well-heated and featured beautiful bathrooms with excellent showers. This B&B is located just a few meters from the main street of Zafferana Etnea and is managed by Dario, who welcomed us kindly. In short: comfortable and highly recommended.
